Most of those phantom pages are pretty old, the recent ones show King Hu, Elem Klimov, Alexander Dovzhenko and some others, but it is just random, mostly directors without any cast, maybe they are doing that so that we can't predict their releases anymore

This is all Scottie's fault

If they really want to mess with us, they'll give Dennis Dugan, Adam Sandler, Kevin James, etc. phantom pages.

But why do those pages exist?
They added them because they had in mind to release those films some unidentified time?

Who knows, if I remember correctly the one for Paul Thomas Anderson exists from long time ago right?

That's it, if they add Adam Sandler it would make sense now

Hasn't Woody Allen had a phantom page for a while? Twilight Time is releasing most of Woody's best films, still apparently has a few in the pipeline, and MGM went ahead and released "Annie Hall", "Manhattan", "Sleeper" and "Hannah and Her Sisters". Maybe Criterion could get their hands on "Husbands and Wives" or "Deconstructing Harry" or "Interiors". I don't know how much some of the phantom pages ultimately mean.

I think Clouds of Sils Maria should make an appearance tomorrow. I bet they were hoping for an Oscar bump this morning.

I bought it on digital recently. Haven't watched. Does anyone have an opinion on this film. I'll wait to watch til the criterion copy is released if reviews are favorable.

Wouldn't shock me at all considering all the attention the remake is getting.

...100% pure adrenaline.

I personally hope for The New World, Only Angels Have Wings and Until the End of the World, from the ones we know are coming.

Oh Dear God...

There is this one woman in my office whose normal tone of voice is always overly combative and confrontational. She doesn't actually talk to people, and, instead, she just snaps at people all of the time.
One morning, she snapped at me for something, and I replied, "Yes, Mommie Dearest."
She pretty much hit the roof when I said that.

I know that you're just joking, but a Criterion Blu-ray of Point Break (1991) would get a big "Hell to the yeah!" from me, and it would get my money right away.

The existing Blu-ray was one of my first purchases in the format.

After Top Gun, it's the greatest movie ever made.

So now would probably be a good time to revisit it.

It's the phantom pages that show up on announcement day that get me excited. Or, in this case, the night before.
