Is that official from Criterion? I don't recall seeing anything from them.

If so, I hope somebody makes this a reality in the Dallas area. I'd love to see this.
Thanks. Sorry to say my knowledge of the Janus business model is rather lacking. I'd also jump at the chance of seeing Chimes at Midnight in the theater. I've never seen any version but have read much about it.

I've checked different marketsellers, ebay and they're already selling it for ridiculous prices (300.00-400.00), so now is the time to get this. That Criterion sale would now be considered a bargain.

I wonder if that's just because stock sold out at most places and Criterion had to print more.

I thought I read somewhere that they would continue to release it, but not in its current dual-format edition.

Does anyone happen to have the Jean Vigo release? I've seen L'Atalante, but was wondering if the short films are worth watching as well, or if they were more just curiosities thrown in just for the sake of completion.

No, the other films are very, very highly regarded. Zero for Conduct, for instance, was rated one of the Top Ten Best Films of All Time in the 1952 Sight and Sound poll.

Hey guys,

The Graduate arrived yesterday afternoon and I just finished viewing the 4K remaster. It looks lovely. I will finish the extras today/noon and will post our review.

Enjoy your Sunday

I was just thinking of some movies I would love for Criterion to pick up for a blu-ray release, and I was curious if anyone knew (based on the companies involved) how possible it would be for that to happen in the future:

1. BIRTH (2004) - New Line DVD
2. BLOODY SUNDAY (2002) - Paramount DVD
3. THE VIRGIN SUICIDES (1999) - Paramount DVD
4. SECRETS & LIES (1996) - 20th Century Fox DVD [they've already released 3 Mike Leigh films from the 90s, might as well do this too]
5. BARTON FINK (1991) - 20th Century Fox DVD
