Don't count an an announcement August 15th for this, they still haven't announced Broadcast News (gnus) from last months newsletter. Maybe a September announcement for a December release?

Well, I am thinking an August 15th announcement because:

1. This "rumored" set all along was for November. Now half the rumor is right, and since these are studio films, they prob have a deal for November, so can't move them.

2. When Breathless was hinted in a newsletter for blu, the next announcements had Breathless. So not all newsletters go in order.

Early on I found that Amazon insisted on shipping UPS (or Fedex), and would do so even to a PO Box. Could have changed... (Maybe it's a Prime thing, but I didn't always have Prime.)

I am hoping for a really cool set where each film gets its own look in the set. I would love one case per each title and I would pay for it price wise, but something tells me digipack style case like By Brakhage which is perfectly fine for that type of title. Just would love for each film to get its due with its own case and cool cover artwork.

15th is Sunday so it's probably 13th or 16th.

On a slightly different tangent. I was hoping to get some thoughts on "Bad Timing".

I mentioned several pages back that I didn't enjoy "Walkabout" but perhaps it was time to give it another chance. Well, I still can't say I enjoy it. It just doesn't make the emotional connection with me personally that I think it was intended to.

But I respect it.

It got me into looking a little deeper into some of Roeg's other works including "The Man Who Fell To Earth". Again, I didn't really dig it, but I have mad respect for the sterile nature of his creation.

But more, I started enjoying the overall themes of his films; the excellent use of camera to view our world from a puzzled outside viewpoint, the failure of language to understand each other. The universal nature of sexuality.

So I was wondering if I should push "Bad Timing" up on my to-do list.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm another Friday the 13th to pass and still no more from that film series from Paramount. Then again I guess they are only concerned with Dreamworks titles currently.

I really like BAD TIMING, and would like a HD Blu for sure. It isn't for everyone and it isn't the happiest film you'll ever see. The film never bores me, but I like character studies etc in film... I always felt Theresa Russell was underrated by a long shot. I would love to see her get a part in a indie type film these days and sweep some awards shows.

The image is called "wackymonkees.jpg" (note the EE spelling and not EY). At the very least this 100% confirms Head.

+1.

Bad Timing is at the top of my Roeg list, although I suppose Don't Look Now is a pretty close second.

Also recommend Black Widow as another pretty decent Theresa Russell film from back in the day.
