Nope! But whatever they are, starting August 24th, releases are going to be crazy.

Here is my 1st draft of my guesses. Could change:

NOV

New Hollywood Boxset
Antichrist
Following

For a total of 9 Blu-rays

DEC

Night of the Hunter
Videodrome
Sweet Smell of Success
Cronos
Some type of Chaplin release (looking slim now with all of the back releases that still need to be announced.)

titles that might be pushed into early next year:

Fish Tank
Broadcast News
The Four Feathers
Y Tu Mama Tambien

The Box Set makes the most sense for November. I too think it comes out that month. I'd never heard of Following till you mentioned it. Didn't realize Christopher Nolan did a film like that. Has that one actually been confirmed or strongly rumored for Criterion release?

Yes, it was announced some time ago. Should be out the end of this year. Since they always release stuff we don't expect, I thought the Following would be perfect right in the middle of all of these newsletter releases.

I like your 1st draft & it makes perfect sense from what we have heard so far. I really hope Y Tu Mama Tambien is released this year.

I hadn't realized it was confirmed. Lots of good releases coming through the end of the year.

I had to look it up, Criterion confirmed it on facebook last Sept. So it should been released this year, leaving hope for Nov/Dec. It would also help knowing Inception's dvd/blu release should be around that time for them to sell this.

I just think Antichrist should 100% be Nov (which saves me money not buying it, since Sept and Oct is stacked and if the New Hollywood set comes out in Nov which should be about $150 alone).

I have always liked Nolan's films but didn't care much at all for Inception. <runs for cover>

Yeah, the hype is kind of rubbing off now. Kind of forgot I even went and saw it.

P.S., "Batman 3" better kick ***.

I sure hope so. But the problem is the bar was set so damn high with The Dark Knight I'm not sure how the next film could come close. This seems to be an ongoing theme with Super Hero trilogies. See Spider-Man 3 and X-Men 3. They better not re-cast The Joker.

+1. That will be a big help, especially with the New Hollywood boxset coming out.

Rumor is Five Easy Pieces, Head, King of Marvin Gardens, The Last Picture Show, Easy Rider, A Safe Place, Drive, He Said. But so far it's just rumors.

not to crash a Criterion thread with Inception talk, but I have to admit I was more than bored
[Show spoiler]esp during the most of the action sequences. All I kept thinking was can I get reply out of watching these scenes again and again. The elevator sequence was cool but yet it didn't have me on the edge of my seat either. Special Effects were top notch but
I won't be buying the film on blu. It just doesn't hold my interest.

I will say that INCEPTION was the first film since MAGNOLIA that I never saw a trailer for NOT one TV spot only the first teaser poster. I knew Leonardo was in it, but I had no idea the rest of the cast was in the film. I wanted to be surprised by the film.

Well good to know I'm not alone in any case. I usually love Nolan films but thought Inception was badly overrated. Can't believe this film is up to #3 all-time on IMDB.
