A new restoration for Band of Outsiders?

Received an email from the TCM Film Festival:

BAND OF OUTSIDERS (1964)
US Premiere Restoration
With its story of a bored student (Anna Karina) who gets involved with small-time crooks (Jean-Claude Brialy and Sami Frey), this dreamlike riff on gangster films by director Jean-Luc Godard is also a love letter to Paris, transporting the American crime figures to a Parisian world of cafes and landmarks. Shown in a US premiere restoration in collaboration with Rialto Pictures. In attendance: Anna Karina.

The more Bergman the better.

He's one of my favorite directors and aside from Summer with Monika, I like all of his movies that I've seen. However, there are only a few I can see myself watching over and over.

I don't think I could ever put myself through Cries and Whispers or Autumn Sonata again. Both are incredibly, incredibly depressing.

Amazon shows my order of America BBS Story for 65.99 shipping today. I know there was talk of it going OOP but I guess not. Looks like it shows in stock on the product page as well.

Yes, please! I've been holding off on seeing this, hoping it will get an upgrade to Blu-ray. But I'm about out of patience.

Ran is Studiocanal so any chance of a reissue will be with Lionsgate (unless Criterion can do a one-time deal like with the Jacques Demy set).

Similar case with Straw Dogs. Disney (who usually licenses the ABC library to MGM) has that one and Criterion was only allowed to license it for one year when the DVD happened. Also, Disney no longer licenses to Criterion (though previous licenses do remain, just not with that one).

The BBS set is quite the opposite of out of print: It's widely available in the US and now that it is established that Criterion's UK deal is Sony based, it will almost certainly be released in the UK as well.
