So because we know 4 of the 5 (usual number of releases) June titles and they haven't posted the phantom pages for the fifth title that they will announce tomorrow, maybe this means that the fifth is one of the big, heavily anticipated ones.

Maybe Malick decided to re edit The New World last minute?

Le amiche
La chienne
Clouds of Sils Maria
Here Comes Mr. Jordan
Fantastic Planet

That's already 5 titles. We'll be lucky to get an upgrade.

Okay, I must've overlooked La Chienne.

Well, there you go. 5 random, not so anticipated titles. I think that the earliest we'll get one of the big 4 from the new year's drawing (Strangelove, McCabe, New World & Lone Wolf & Cub) is September.

I think that's likely all of June unless they decide to toss in an "upgrade" like The Last Picture Show or Head.

Another overlap

I already have the MoC Le Amiche which already looks amazing, looking forward what Criterion might add in supplements.

The July announcements should be interesting. Criterion has always released at least 1 upgrade in July since 2009...

As much as I'm happy that Region A folks can finally see Fantastic Planet on Blu-Ray, I'm not sure if Criterion can top the Moc/Eureka Region B version. Nice xtras, thick booklet, and the soundtrack on the Blu-Ray. Let's hope it pans out, nonetheless. I'm probably gonna double dip since I love this cult film so much.

I thought before this year they have been releasing at least 1 upgrade since forever , might be some few months without any but it was very very rare.

This has to be Criterion's most random lineup yet.

After reading some of the reviews and IMDB descriptions, I can't say I'm particularly interested in any of them. That being said, I do look forward to watching them all eventually.

I think I'll enjoy
[Show spoiler]Fantastic Planet
the most because of it's subject matter. But I have a strange feeling that I won't take to it as a whole.

From the 3 I have seen I can only recommend the Antonioni for fans of his work, but I am very interested in Here Comes Mr. Jordan for what I have heard here and La Chienne because it's Renoir.

Well, looks like my procrastination buying MoC titles pays off again.
