I want to reply with a joke about a past life, but I can't make it work.

Taking the point far more seriously than it deserves to be, I've have no experience that suggests that I've ever had a previous life, and I wouldn't expect reincarnation to just start happening now.

Another way to look at it is that if I'm "reincarnated as another human being" then he or she won't be me, so the point is moot.

If I am reincarnated, well, I guess the joke will be on me.

I wonder if the King Hu films will be released in July? The Linklater movies plus the King Hu movies might comprise the entire month's offerings . I guess it's possible that they'll just release A Touch of Zen, with Dragon Inn coming later on.

I would love for the two Hu films to be released together, since I already picked up the MoC Dragon Inn, and there is a part of me that knows I'll end up double dipping if that is the case.

I GOT AWAY BECAUSE I WAS SICK OF ENABLING YOU, RAY! The drinking, the drugs, the anger... and the fact you never quite got over Mulvaney, did you? Yeah, my blu-ray collection isn't the biggest, BUT IT'S A GOOD SIZE!!! You just wanted a collection that could fill your walk-in closet.

And as far as abstaining from buying Berlin Alexanderplatz because of the remote possibility of a blu-ray announcement in the coming weeks, I remember a Ray who wasn't so cynical. A Ray who could take joy in something as simple as the smiling face of The Great Owl when another brilliant noir is upgraded vicariously through his own doing (if The Fallen Idol gets an upgrade soon, you're welcome, Owl ).
