Yeah most likely that is the last one. And an upgrade to boot

So rounding them all up we potentially have:

[Show spoiler]Carnival of Souls
Dragon Inn / A Touch of Zen (possibly just the latter)
The In-Laws
Muriel, or The Time of Return
The New World

That's a killer month.

I may pick up A Touch of Zen if it's somehow cheaper and better than Eureka's release but I'm more impressed with Arrow's recent announcements...

So, did the Before trilogy get shot down? I thought there was finally an announcement anticipated for this month.

Linklater confirmed it was coming, but I don't recall a specific date. It could be November for the fall B&N sale.

I'm hoping the one more is Boyhood. Linklater saying its coming soon, theyve obviously been working on it for a while, perfect July B&N sale big money maker.

So they put up the "people" pages for 4 of the releases and will wait for the fifth one tomorrow? Just like last month. And the fifth release they waited with an extra day the last month was Strangelove. So I'm guessing that the final one will be a mainstream popular release - either McCabe, the Before trilogy, Boyhood or maybe Le Samourai.

Three/four Warner titles in single month would be too much My money is on Boyhood

With Boyhood they would also be releasing two releases in one month that already have an US blu ray release.

I believe
[Show spoiler]Dragon Inn and A Touch of Zen
may be a set. And if the last is
[Show spoiler]Carnival of Souls
there would be nothing new in terms of profiles since it's an existing title.

Maybe Blood Simple then? Or some other MGM title?

If they are not a box, it is very likely that they will be matching releases (ala Branded to Kill & Tokyo Drifter, State of Siege & The Confession, Breaker Morant & Mister Johnson, etc.)

Yeah for sure the artwork will match. I do hope they're a set as I'd rather get them both together in a slipcase like the one for Yojimbo/Sanjuro

Poster art, and potentially final cover art for King Hu's Dragon Inn, and A Touch of Zen

Much better than those horrific covers of the MoC versions.

I prefer the MoC ones myself. I don't think the cartoony ones above are reflective of the film's themselves. The MoC Dragon Inn looks much better in the flesh than it does on a computer screen, and I'm a little confused as to how anyone could take issue with their Touch Of Zen to the extent as to call it "horrific" as it's simply a still from the film.

I love these, they're vivd and I feel like the fluidity of the action portrayed makes it seem like they're actually moving. I don't mind MoC's cover for A Touch of Zen, but the Dragon Inn one could be better. A lot of people didn't seem to like that one from what I recall.

Yeah, that was controversial from the off (with the watercolour-aping filter a particular bugbear for many). In the flesh I actually think it looks pretty great tho.

I actually wouldnt have minded if they went with a different painting style, or perhaps even just leaving it done with just colored pencils. I think water colors would have been beautiful. The pencil work is excellent regardless, just great detail.

I hope Criterion sells the posters on their site, I'd buy both.
