I always look at those last releases of the month during the sales and assume the sale will end just shy of us getting the deal. However, with Amazon and B&N running closer to $27/title with newer releases it isn't as big of a deal as it has been in the past.

It should still be on sale online. From what I recall, any titles releasing in the month of the sale typically gets discounted too, even if it falls outside of the sale window.

More appropriate than this design, maybe Criterion were tying to avoid the cliche oh the film features typewriters lets use typewriter fonts :P?

It depends a lot, it was my first Malick film before I knew anything about him, and I loved it, then I went and see Badlands and Days of Heaven but I didn't immediately loved those, they do get better for me with repeat viewings though.

For me his evolution in style comes mainly in pairs, Badlands and Days of Heaven, then The Thin Red Line and The New World, then it gets fuzzy, as I don't like to group The Three of Life with To The Wonder and Knight of Cups but they do have a lot of similarities.

I don't think that has been the case in the past, I do remember once they extended the sale by a week because of some bug, but that is a bit unlikely.

No problem there is always the October Criterion flash sale.

My problem with them is that they smack too much of digital/photoshop use. If they wanted to go with a painted look, it needs to look more old school. Doing it in the style of old fashioned Chinese brush painting would have been awesome. Instead they look like the covers of a Marvel comic or something.

At least the titles are in the style of Chinese stamps.

I think watercolors would have been very nice. I like them regardless though, but I can see why some may not.

I wish Criterion made a full-size poster to their Floating Weeds cover. It's my fav. film in their collection, and probably 2nd fav. overall for me. Still hoping for a domestic release one day

Never mind.
It was a false alarm about a sale.

Original post:
[Show spoiler]ATTENTION Criterion fans:

Someone mentioned at the TT thread that there is a sale at SAE for 50% off in entire order, but apparently the code works for everything!!!!

So, you can buy Criterion Blurays that are in stock there for half the price!!
code is ts1650

http://www.screenarchives.com/

i just tried it with a couple of Criterions (didn't buy them) and the coupon works!

Sale valid May 12th, at 5pm ET through Monday, May 16th at 5pm ET.

Not the BEST quality but should be big enough resolution to upscale the size - just speak to the print place you go to see what they can do .

http://postimg.org/image/gjpai5sap/

Any problems, drop me a PM and ill try help you fix it, but downloading from hat link should give you the larger file size.

There was a better quality but was a small size - if the above is too dark, you can simply lighten in photoshop or again if you want help I can do for you.

Heres a version I corrected:

Just noticed its a different illustration to the one you uploaded - wonder why they have two versions??

Those look amazing. Are they the actual covers from the cases or printouts from the internet?

I bought hi res copies of the artwork and got them printed myself, they came out really well and don't look like scans - even unclose when printed well they look authentic. I have a few others around the house :P I am a tad addicted!

Criterion should sell them but not sure why they don't.
