I can't wait to rewatch the movie and piece everything together. This is a film that almost requires multiple viewings because so much is happening simultaneously in terms of street gangs, politics, and character motivation and identity.

The commentary with Tony Rayns is really helpful. He even apologizes in it for explaining the plot more than necessary, but his knowledge of the history and background of the film's world really is quite useful.

Would love any of these as I don't own at all.

The only Criterion DVDs that remain in my collection are The Cranes are Flying and the Von Sternberg collection. I hope both get upgrades in the near future.

Agreed. A Day In The Country is a masterwork despite it's length and atleast deserves it's own release, whether for full MSRP or not.

could be a possibility with Criterion.

Must admit it does amuse me seeing the upcoming titles put in spoiler tags. Could understand if Criterion had a set in stone day/exact time but their actual announcements are so haphazard I'm surprised people don't just embrace the ghost page leaks.
