Are there any Fox titles on Criterion BD currently? I know that Eureka! released both Sunrise and City Girl (both Fox titles), but these are silents and don't have the same mass appeal as The King of Comedy.
I'm not sure. I just know that if Fox isn't going to release it, might as well make money off Criterion for it.

Pabst Blue Ribbon...it's your grandfather's beer!

You have to be an old man like me, to have any memory of this fine American classic beer. I remember my "first beer" was a lukewarm can of PBR (as we hep oldsters used to call it)...I almost barfed on my shoes.

Oh. Got ya. Thanks.

I just thought David Lynch putting a brand in a film, I thought it was a "hip" brand.

I suppose at one time Dennis Hopper was so cool he could piss in a beer can and pass it off as the best beer on the market.

Prob. But it was David Lynch's script, so replace Hopper with Lynch. Unless Hopper thought up that line. Who knows. Lynch does.

Another old geezer here. I can remember a beer distributor strike (or something to that effect) back in the 70's. Of course Bud was the first beer to run out but it didn't end there. Things got so bad before the strike ended that the only 2 beers left in my town to purchase were Schlitz and Pabst Blue Ribbon. Yes, Virginia, it was that bad.

"The Thin Red Line" and "The Darjeeling Limited" are both owned by Fox. And "Paths of Glory" and "Night of the Hunter" were released on DVD by MGM. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Fox bought the rights to MGM's library of films a few years ago.

So I'm thinking Fox is definitely willing to work with Criterion at this point.

Unless you can think of a better choice, I think The American Friend should get a shot as the next Wim Wenders BD release.

Oh, lord... you young guys don't know anything, it seems.

I don't even drink alcoholic beverages and I know that PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon) is staple among many people. It's a cheap beer.

Go to any bar in any southern state (not including Florida, which is a pseudo-southern state... it's only southern by location) and you're going to find PBR all over the place. Many southern bars even have it on-tap.

CC

I had a tall-boy of PBR a few nights ago...... I was at Deer Creek, looking for something else, and bought one on the walk for a buck.......... When it's 95 degrees and ridiculously sunny, you'll drink about anything I suppose!

On Announcement day we spent more time on PBR than releases.

I might just try it to try it. I don't drink beer either CC, but I tried the taste of some.
