Apologies in advance for spamming this thread, but...

Speaking of Barnes & Noble orders and such, I highly recommend that everyone here use the Honey coupon app/extension.

I have the Honey extension added to my Google Chrome browser. Whenever I am checking out during an online purchase, Honey automatically scans every coupon code in existence, runs them through the site, and applies the discount.

I just purchased an Olive Films title (Indiscreet) from Barnes & Noble, the Honey extension found a 15% Off discount that I did know about, and that was applied on top of the current 40% off sale.

As always, it helps to double-check, because the discount found by Honey may not necessarily be the best one for you to use if you already have a coupon code from another source, but it's still worth a shot.

just a heads up...

zavvi is giving 12% with the code EURO for the next hour and ten min or so.

was gonna get the Antoine Doinel box, but decided against it knowing that CC will (eventually) do better with it that Artificial Eye has.

if your in the U.S. that 12% kinda equates to bigger savings because if $5 come off, for example, you're saving like $7 with the exchange rate.

Many forum members are using Hariseldon app for B&N coupon codes for last couple of years. It is not instant but you can get as many coupons as you want.

An awesome member.

This week's coupons are in-store only though.

If you aren't looking for any July titles, then I suggest waiting until this Saturday and taking advantage of the current 40% off sale plus up to 30% off for orders over $150. I'm surprised they're letting those two overlap.

You can schedule web pages to only go live at a certain date/time, though - they should be able to program these to go live at the same time as the "Coming Soon" page refresh, through their CMS programming.

Do you know if you have to wait until Saturday. I tried using both now and it said the 30% off wasn't applicalbe to my purchases (Criterion titles.)

Now that it is officially out of print, I took the plunge on the Teshigahara set. I was hoping for a re-release of all 3 films, but it looks like that's not in the cards. It's been a looooooooong time since I paid higher than MSRP for a Criterion release...

The 30% off coupon is active starting at 12:01AM on Saturday and lasts for a week.

The 40% off sale is still active until the end of the day Saturday.

Where is that info? Cause they have s 20 percent thing going on right now. If your info isn't correct, I want to jump on the other one.

There's no mention of a 30% coupon, just coupons from 15% to 20%.

Anybody read DVDBeaver's review of Muriel? Looks like another older film that has a tint over it. Not sure if it's accurate, but Alain Resnais other film, Je Taime, Je Taime had a similar tint job, and it was really obvious when watching the film.

I noticed that also.. and yeah Je Taime, Je Taime looks so saturated in a tint I canceled that pre-order back then. Its a shame that so many films are being plagued with this type of tinting. I honestly don't think it was ever part of many of these films to begin with. It gets annoying when white is no longer white at all.

You almost have to create new custom settings on a master panel TV to avoid it. I just wish I knew the proper way to tweak it!

Caps A Holic also posted screen caps of the different editions of Le Samouraļ and from DVD to BLU editions the films has more of a tint which it seemed to have but some of the earthy tones are now gone.
https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=3372

I kind of think when Criterion issues their BLU we are going get the new tint and maybe a little more detail.

If you order $150+ online, then you get an additional 30% off.

Hit CTRL-F (or whatever opens your "Find").
Find "BNJUNE30".
It's that one.

I see Beaver is presuming it's correct. It's been a long time since I saw the film in 35mm.

I don't see a big stink being made of this transfer as I venture to say not many people have seen the film.
