I'd take her over Marilyn Monroe any day.

I think if I'd been around in the 40s and 50s I would've had a chance too.

Back in my younger years I was well known as a hard drinking, hard partying sex god.

...what did Frank Sinatra have that I don't have?
According to Ava Gardner, Frank Sinatra was
[Show spoiler]"was only 110 pounds, but 10 pounds of it was c**k."

So he had that going for him, for one thing.

...which is nice. But in all seriousness, Ava Gardner was stunning. Hard to believe she was only 24 when "The Killers" came out. She carried herself a bit more maturely than 24 in that film, that's for sure.

I have a lot of soundtracks in my music collection; one that has not been mentioned (unless I missed it), one that I always come back to is The Crow Motion Picture Soundtrack. The movie has always resonated with me, and the soundtrack is brilliantly employed throughout the film, helping an already dark story to achieve an ambiance that has never been matched in any movie I've seen since. It's as if Alex Proyas was somehow channeling the musicians with his direction. From The Cure's Burn, Stone Temple Pilots' Big Empty, Dead Souls by Nine Inch Nails, the moody Darkness by Rage Against The Machine, all the way to the haunting It Can't Rain All The Time by Jane Sibbery as the credits roll, which reflects the mood I have knowing that Brandon Lee would never have the chance to build upon his amazing performance as Eric Draven...seldom have a collective group of artist achieved such range, and intensity. It's this wonderful synthesis of alternative, grunge and metal. At the time, I was studying martial arts, and was heavily into Bruce Lee, and his son, Brandon's fledgling career . I'd just read The Tao of Jeet Kune Do, and was absolutely gut punched when Brandon died on set. Ever since then, the film has been very special to me.

As far as screen adaptions of comic books go, the list starts with The Crow, and everybody else gets in line behind it.

Isn't that what is in the WB Blu-ray (Time Machine: The Journey Back)? It's been there since the WB DVD, and I found it one of the best extras ever produced.

No, no there hasn't.

Bellows, a bad temper, mob connections and money. That makes some men irresistible to some women, heaven knows why.

Well, like Sinatra, you're always performing. But people paid to see him do it.

I'm telling you I could've had Ava Gardner!

But then Sinatra comes along with his olive oil voice and guinea charm and she runs off!!!!

...it made me look ridiculous!

Among the many things I love about House, the soundtrack is up there. If you're Aussie or English and older, you might recognize the sound as its by the same band that did the soundtrack for the 70s JPN TV series Monkey. So good.

Honestly, I wouldn't dare to pick just one actresss as the Most Beautiful Woman Ever.

Thanks to cinema, young, prime versions of beauties such as Ava, Rita, Grace Kelly, Liz Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Audrey Hepburn, Anna Karina, plus many others are forever trapped on celluloid.

Ava was a nearly unequaled beauty, but give me Marilyn every time.

I'd also put Ingrid Bergman, Gene Tierney, Raquel Welch, Monica Bellucci, Charlize Theron, Halle Berry and Sophia Loren in the discussion.

There are others I would add into the frey; Brigitte Bardot was absolutely smoldering. Lana Turner, too. Yvonne de Carlo, Julie Christie, Catherine Deneuve, Jane Russell, Jennifer Connelly, Sharon Stone, Kim Basinger, Ursula Andress...lots of beauties throughout the history of cinema.

But, for me, the top four will always be Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Ingrid Bergman, and Gene Tierney, with Raquel and Charlize hot on their tails.

Sorry but you're all wrong...the most beautiful woman in movie history is obviously Ella Raines.

Men beyond their "prime" start listing their "young, prime versions of beauties"... time to leave this thread and come back two pages later I guess.

You sir have impeccable taste! However, I believe the lady in my avatar, Veronica Lake, belongs in any discussion of beauty.
