10 years and still no Criterion release of this majestic film. What's happening? Did they lose the rights or something?
But we did get Boyhood.

Bringing Out The Dead and After Hours would be awesome. I think we need more Scorsese in the collection too.

November is their big month, so I'm expecting a notable box set. Can't imagine it being Before, seeing how we just got a Linklater. Hou's coming of age trilogy, perhaps? (A man can dream..)

Made it to TIFF the past 3 years, dunno if it's in the cards this year for me. Enjoy!

There is a posting on that Forthcoming Criterion thread on the Criterion Forum that references their desire to put out a Kusturica, but that's been there since I started seriously following Criterion (in 2011), and I've never heard anything further about their intentions for that.

Thanks! Haven't been since 2013, so I'm jazzed. Bought 50 tickets.

"Arizona Dream" is with Warner in their Warner Archive branch. They've been pretty stingy licensing out those titles. WAC has such a monstrous backlog of quality titles to release on BD, so I have no idea when or if it will come out. Obviously, a Criterion release would be nice. There's a Blu-ray from Spain of the 144 minute cut, but it's bare-bones and I have no idea about the PQ or AQ.

I've been saying for years now that this is a release that really needs to happen. Along with King of Comedy, but that already has a nice (non-Criterion) release.

That would be a heavenly set! I would also include Boxcar Bertha, and the following shorts would be a part of the supplements: Vesuvius VI, What's a Nice Girl Like You Doing in a Place Like This?, It's Not Just You, Murray! and The Big Shave. Since this is a dream wish, the supplements would also include the documentaries New York City... Melting Point, Street Scenes, Italianamerican, American Boy: A Profile of: Steven Prince, The King of Ads, My Voyage to Italy, Shine a Light, A Letter to Elia, Public Speaking, and The 50 Year Argument.

Boxcar Bertha is coming from TT in October, at least.

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all doing well and that you are enjoying your Criterion movies?

I hope the old timers still remember me?

Haven't had a chance much to post in the last few years (personal life got in the way) and been very much out of the loop concerning the Criterion releases. Was very surprise and happy to see that La Planete Sauvage is getting a release, can't wait for that. I haven't been reading the Criterion news letters either (my bad) and I am wondering if there is been news or hints about Alexander Nevsky or Ivan The Terrible being release on Blu-Ray?

Fantastic Planet was actually released on June 21.

As far as the Eisenstein films, there hasn't been any information.
