I'm currently using a first-generation Kindle Fire to TV via HDMI for TCM, but if I have to walk across the room to hit "pause," what's the point of having a couch?

So it's reasonable to expect Cohen Media will release The Old Dark House themselves? Or I suppose Universal could release it but that doesn't seem likely. Do Cohen fund restorations that they don't release themselves? I wonder if this could still go to Criterion considering they had a phantom page for James Whale, that's what I would prefer but glad to have to the film in HD from any one of those companies. Hopefully it comes out in time for October next year.

What would that page be for if not TODH though? I know Frankenstein was mentioned, being that Criterion found a negative print at the Library of Congress. But I can't muster much excitement for that, it'd have to be a spectacular package for me to consider double (or triple with the new Legacy set out) dipping. Perhaps Gods and Monsters, maybe Lionsgate lost the rights or they're finally licensing stuff out (they did so with Hellraiser III for the U.S. Scarlet Box from Arrow). Though that's a stretch, since Whale is portrayed in that movie, he wasn't involved in the production, those pages are usually reserved for directors and actors to my knowledge, not characters.

Yes Cohen will 99.9% release it themselves. Would be silly for them not to.

His Girl Friday and Something Wild both look great to me.

Black Girl looks really intriguing as well.

In for the Hawks, perhaps for the Fassbinder. The Sembene I can get from the UK. Strangely, I had never heard of Something Wild.

Actually... I didn't. but wow, announcements on the 14th of a month? That's pretty rare. I'm impressed, Mr. Jon "Criterion" Mulvaney, I'm impressed. And these are some oldies but goodies. Nothing blowing me away but still an admirable month.

It is so quiet here... Other days there would have been 3 more pages by now (at least)

I was not expecting them today. What a pleasant surprise.

Something Wild is the title that intrigues me most as I have never heard about it nor did I have any idea that it was in the works.

His Girl Friday for sure, and Something Wild sounds like something I'd want to check out too.
