I don't think it can be used for the same order. But then again I never tried it. I would assume they wouldn't let you cause it would nullify the points you got to get to the gift card. If that makes any sense lol.

I believe you have to wait until the certificate processes and appears in your profile. It is not immediately available. I remember last year, I placed 2 orders within one flash sale period. One to get to the certificate, and one using it.

Hope this helps!

Thank you. That's how I thought it worked, but wasn't sure.

Devil's Backbone

Anyone seen this? I have a few questions

[Show spoiler]
WTF was the story about the baby in the jar having a "devil's backbone"? They said that those babies were cursed, not meant to be born, put in a jar of vinegar and that if you drank the vinegar, you'd get super powers, so the old dude drank the vinegar to get hard as a kind of Viagra (young dude is banging old chick and telling her "I give it to you hard unlike that old loser")?? WTF is all that about and how does it relate to title or themes of film?

Bomb dropped on orphanage, didn't explode yet stayed there in the courtyard. Later in the film someone said "maybe we already died", so are they all ghosts? and the bomb really did explode?

I picked up the Del Toro Trilogy Trilogía de Guillermo del Toro - not bad for 50.00 after the sale

I went with:

The Innocents
Only Angels Have Wings
Pan's Labyrinth

I wanted to include In A Lonely Place, but it sold out somewhere between the time I placed my order and 10 minutes earlier. Oh well, I have a 20% off coupon that I can use for that title in the upcoming B&N sale.

Most surprising sellout? I think I'll go with Medium Cool.

You could've bought new copies of that and Army of Shadows for that much on Amazon UK.

Both of which are region B locked. Not everyone is region free. Not to mention the fact that some people may actually want the Criterion version specifically which is not the same as the UK releases, in both transfer and extras.

Criterion must've printed a lot of copies of the Del Toro-related works for them not to be sold out at this point.

Does the Criterion sale being extended add fuel to the fire of claims in this thread that it happened too late and sales weren't as strong because of it, or have they run similar extensions in the past?

I think they have extended before but for 2 hours or so...Not 100% sure...
Did they extend twice in the same sale before?

I need $0.04 of filler to get free shipping on the David Lean set. Darn you Criterion! Can't you just let me take 49% off list?

Really hope this is so they can add Roku, PS4, Chromecast, and Apple TV to launch, but I doubt we'd be that lucky.
