I'm anxiously anticipating this release. Haven't had it on disc since my LD days.

It was the first Kurosawa that I saw theatrically...I thought it was glorious then. It was such a hypnotic experience...I wasn't sure if we were ever going to see a blu-ray release. Thank you CRITERION!

Efficiency. I know what I want. No point in postponing or wasting time ordering more than once.

Holding off til Black Friday for DEKALOG and LONE WOLF. Can probably get those for dirt cheap if I hold off, and my buddy at BN is holding copies for me.

May pick up PUNCH DRUNK, SQUID, DREAMS, and EXECUTIONER throughout the month depending on when coupons pop up.

What kind of deals do they have on Black Friday at B&N? I wasn't planning to get Criterion's Dekalog, but with my 10% off membership and 20% coupon, hopefully I can get it for around $35.99 which is a great price I think.

Bummer. I just found out from an B&N employee that coupons wont work with the current 50% off sale.

Yeah, the one I go to won't allow it.

Can anyone give their opinions on the Zatôichi films? Are they carefully made films, or your standard Japanese Sword and Sandel film?
They are very well made...high quality productions with good acting. There're recurring themes in the movies, but they are all very enjoyable.

Later this month, I'll probably grab One-Eyed Jacks, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, and Night Train to Munich.

Night Train to Munich doesn't get a lot of love here, but I've seen and enjoyed the old Criterion DVD. It's got action, suspense, a beautiful woman, etc...everything that a film needs.

He said it the mailer might not work but he will try. Then he called a manager and they said yeah it will work. Hope I get the same answer next time I go or I get that awesome girl that allows anything [emoji41]

I didn't use them(2/20%) because I'm going to use them on The Road Trilogy(had to order in store) and Lone Wolf and Cub. Might get Dekalog later in the month too. They actually sold them all before I got to the store at about 2-3pm

I actual was so close to getting it on DVD but I held off for a couple sales, wasn't going to wait much longer, and ended up waiting just long enough to get the BD upgrade. Picked it up yesterday so will be tossing it in the player real soon

I picked up Blood Simple and A Taste of Honey last night while at work. I've ordered in two copies of Trilogía de Guillermo del Toro but every single corner was dinged up, so I guess I'll have another go at it and order it again. I also have a copy of Dekalog on hold (which surprisingly made it in safely), so I'll probably use a 20% member coupon in the next two weeks.
