Wonder what the total cost of the Eclipse series would come to? I have the Postwar Kurosawa (the Master). Glad to see some of his titles are as low as $13 (for members).

I kinda wished I wouldn't have opened my inbox today, this is going to cost me a small fortune.
Right there with you, it was very hard for not too pick up a lot of movies. I went with Aleaxnder Nevsky & Ivan The Terrible but it was hard to control myself

It's plastic. You can find pictures of it over at criterionforum.org.

I picked up four releases, which ended up costing me just over $100 after tax.

Postwar Kurosawa (5 films)
Solaris
In the Realm of the Senses (Blu)
Tokyo Story

Only one I've opened is Solaris, and I'm pretty sure I'm keeping the Kurosawa box ($35 is killer), but I'm debating Senses and Tokyo Story. Haven't seen Senses, but read nothing but great things, and I've seen Tokyo Story a couple times already, but it's such a great film, and I don't own any Ozu. Decisions, decisions...

Thumbs up

Damn... Prices are too good right now.

Had to pick up THE THIRD MAN and IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES Blu-rays as well as the regular DVDs of THE VANISHING, THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME, CARNIVAL OF SOULS and the EARLY BERGMAN Eclipse set.

Also preordered REPULSION.

Jesus. I am sooooo broke now.

Based on the "Group" of spine numbers released.... perhaps we'll see

My Dinner with André
The Human Condition
or Bergman Island

Just a wild guess.

What in the world are you talking about, Beta? What are you referring to with that comment?

I was wondering the same thing. I figured with the stress of all the remodling I'd let it slide.

19.99 sale, I may pickup a few, but haven't seen any of the sale items except the Third Man. Any recommendations?

My favorites from the list..... in order.

'The Third Man', The 400 Blows', 'Wages of Fear' 'Chungking Express', '

Those are the best ones .... then I'd go with The Last Emperor, The Man Who Fell to Earth, and In the Realm of the Senses.....

in that order.... based on my personal "rewatchability"

That's exactly what I was thinking, zedd. I just didn't wanna speak out of turn. Even though we're roughly the same age, I think Beta Man is off his rocker on this one. Either that, or I'm just not as smart as I thought I was... and that's just not likely to be possible.

How is The Last Metro? Reviews seem to be mixed. I'm pretty sure you can get it in-store for 50% off at B&N.
