Not exactly my speed, but anyway...

it made me think - what films in the CC have the least amount of dialogue? This one and Bresson's Mouchette, which I also recently saw, don't have too much. Any others?

Walkabout comes to mind.

Aside from the silent movies, which don't have dialogue by default, I'd say...

Eraserhead

Le Samouraï is the best minimal dialogue film ever made. I really hope that a presentable Blu-ray sees the light of day someday soon.

"Stranger than Paradise" definitely has the most awkward silences of any movie in the collection.

Kurosawa's Dreams comes to mind. Also Dersu Uzala, if that's still considered part of the collection. Also, The Naked Prey.

Honorable mention should go to Rififi for the over twenty minute heist portion.

I think we can safely add The Qatsi Trilogy as well!

Any reason why this site hasn't done a review for Dreams? They seem to have done one for other releases that came out the same time, and several others that came out after.

This makes things interesting because it makes me wonder what films Criterion will uses its WB chips on.

Seven Days in May would fit in nicely with The Manchurian Candidate and Seconds.

Heart of a dog comes with a lovely pamphlet on top of the usuall fold out for those interested. It was a nice surprise.
