The trailer looked like the most moronic film ever. I did not like the humor AT ALL. Then it came out and everyone, especially my students, loved it. I see Deadpool shirts every day. My dad even said it was funny, and he doesn't really like violence or dark/dirty humor. Still, I can't help but feel like my initial reaction was probably correct.

I can understand if someone was not a fan of Nocturnal Animals overall, but you have to admit that entire scene on the highway was brilliantly executed on every level.

I thought it was okay. I thought that if the whole movie was that sequence, it would have been better. But even if the whole movie was just the half with Gyllenhaal and Michael Shannon, it would have been better, but it'd just be a mediocre revenge movie in my eyes.
