I can't remember the wait time for Wes Anderson films, but we should be expecting Grand Budapest Hotel this year no?

Also very excited for Tree of Life, which I'm disappointed wasn't a hint.

Are we sure about that? There is a tree through that window. It's surrounded by birds and sunshine, which could mean life. The fact that it's a view through a window could be a hint for the house the movie partially took place in.

Here's what immediately popped into my head. Another Beatles release?

"Here Comes the Sun".
"Blackbird"
"The Long and Winding Road."
"Norwegian Wood"

No love for Edward G? Two of his atypical films would be good candidates for the Collection: John Ford's mistaken identity comedy The Whole Town's Talking and the MGM slice of '40s Americana Our Vines Have Tender Grapes. Playing a Wisconsin farmer of Norwegian descent might, at first, seem like a case of colossal miscasting but he's quite wonderful in it.

Just finished Don't Look Now.

That was an interesting film.

But I think I didn't really get it.

I know somethings there.

But I don't know what.

But I'm only 14.

I'm sure there are a few people who are 41 who don't get the film.

Can anyone give analytical posts for me, please?

Also, Pino Donaggio always does a great score.

I think I've worked out the formula.

Pino Donaggio score + soft cinematography = Criterion.

I watched this a year or two ago and was left confused as well and I couldn't find any fantastic analysis or anything. It's not an easy film for sure. Just one you need to think about for some time then re watch

Honestly, I think this is right. And I'm not even one of those conspiracy theorists trying to turn every clue into the movie.

I'm beginning to believe it's a painting like someone had suggested a few pages back. That'd be funny if it was referencing something in Jef Costello's apartment that nobody noticed.

The problem for me with The Tree Of Life is that the original blu already looks so glorious I can't imagine Criterion improving on it substantially.

More than likely the Criterion release would be all about an alternate cut of the film, or a lot of extras.
