Huh? The only ones OOP on Criterion's site are the 4 StudioCanal titles: Contempt, Alphaville, A Women is a Woman and Pierrot le fou.

Oh, I see. 2 or 3 Things I Know About Her and Tout va bien are still in-print and need blu-ray upgrades

An upgrade of any catalog title at this point may take a miracle.

do we know if the April Demy titles will be in a standard case or a digipack style case from the boxset?

It's out on Blu-ray from Lionsgate/StudioCanal.

In 2016 there were 7 catalog upgrades (Not counting unboxings or new packagings).

4 months of titles have already been announced with 0 upgrades on the slate. 8 months are left. Conventional wisdom says usually no more than 1 upgrade a month.

2017 will likely see 8 or less upgrades.

A Masculin Feminin Blu upgrade would be welcome!

Also, I think Made in the USA would look great.

From Breathless to Weekend there aren't too terribly many films to make an HD collection of his first new wave era (assuming they all have material to work from.)

Is your screen name a reference to the T.Rex song or is it a reference to the first track from Modern Life is Rubbish?

So I'm taking a class on the french new wave and figured I'd list the syllabus (I've seen them all except for the last one):

[Show spoiler]
Elevator to the Gallows
Jules and Jim
The 400 Blows
La Jetée
Hiroshima, Mon Amour
Cléo from 5 to 7
Pierrot Le Fou
Breathless
La Boulangére De Monceau
Chloe in the Afternoon
Le Samourai
Celine and Julie Go Boating

Looking forward to the discussions... or not.

Funnily enough, the last film on that list is my favorite of the bunch. Love it. Really puzzled why it hasn't been released by anyone here. There were rumors years ago by they never came to fruition.

Neither. Although I love the song and the Japanese comic series/movies. Let's just say I wasn't made for these times.

Awesome. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm hoping this class isn't similar to the other film studies ones, where most of the discussion starts with "that was boring." Oh, a side note, seeing how we watched the first film last night, but Jeanne Moreau is positively stunning.

I've always thought (as an American) which ones your prefer may reflect your personality. I argue with a friend over Godard vs. Truffaut. I enjoy the former, he the latter. He's a much nicer person than I am.
Both are worthy of CC, however. Godard makes me laugh at absurdities.
