Awesome! What a great way to brush up on my ABCs.

Looks like TCM will keep me busy for most of February...

Thanks for posting. I also just saw that they're playing Mildred Pierce on 2/17 (four days before its Criterion release) in case anyone wants to watch it before blind-buying.

For the first time last night I saw a screening of a film with the soundtrack preformed live. I'm not sure it's the best way to watch a movie, but it's definitely a good way to spend an evening. Anyone in these parts do this regularly? Do you prefer it with some types of films more than others?

I know some folks did Tree of Life in NYC a few months back, and that seemed to be a positive experience.

I don't think anything beats Kirk Douglas being 100 years old.

Olivia de Havilland is still alive and is about 5 months older than Kirk Douglas.

It's all set then. She'll sit down to record The Snake Pit and The Heiress commentaries with Criterion, then we will have the Bluray releases by Fall.

That seems pretty firm to me. Especially as its playing theatrically.

Criterion is getting out of hand. First they give us The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Young Girls of Rochefort to capitalize on La La Land.

Now we're getting Ryan Gosling in The Notebook.
Knot-book...Notebook...is there any real question about this clue?

The even put dollar signs on the clue to rub it in our faces.

What is the significance of the dollar sign on the binding?

Is it pronounced (Tie-Pay?)

For those of us who haven't seen Taipei Story, anyone care to spoiler-ifically explain why it's so slam-dunk obviously that one? Plot summaries leads me to suspect textile manufacturing may be why the tie, but why the book with dollar sign on the spine?

I'd be over the moon, if Criterion released another Yang. Best clue ever.
