I'm still waiting for a "Mishima" upgrade.... I heard they were doing a restoration on it...

Also, I keep hoping it's Criterion who will be releasing that new 4K restoration of "The Age of Innocence" in the US.

This wouldn't happen right away, but I hope Criterion later re-issues "Silence" from Paramount, like they did with "Boyhood" and "45 Years"...

I am trying to pick two to pick up. Pretty sure on Mildred Pierce.Between Exterminating Angel and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, which would people pick. Both would be blind buys.

Women on the Verge would be my choice. Very different films though, and both worth owning.

They're both good. Angel is probably the more artisticly important film, but Women has more re-watch value, for me anyway. I'm a sucker for screwball comedies.

I think "l'avventura" is more about ennui and boredom (in Italy's upper classes) than it is about alienation.

Well, I think I will pickup Women on the Verge and save Exterminating Angel for the March sale. I want to try to get Alleluia at a decent price.

Easily one of my favorite $5 buys. But the transfer is lacking. Criterion could do wonders with it.

Don't forget "The Salton Sea". Got a bit of salt in that title.

Hmm. I'm not sure that the first two are really possible at that level without the presence of the third. I think that ennui and boredom are symptoms of alienation, signs of being disengaged.

Yeah, those three phantom pages are for

films. It'd be interesting to see a box set this month.
