If I only owned 2 Criterions (or if I someday sold all but 2 of them Scottie-style) I would own ITMFL and Late Spring.

Man, I wish I loved Late Spring as much as I love Tokyo Story.

I rewatched it sometime last year and it's a good movie but it feels like standard Ozu. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of his films.

Just ordered Pickpocket, The Manchurian Candidate, The Asphalt Jungle, Certified Copy, and I Knew Her Well. Already pre-ordered The Before Trilogy and that should be delivered today from Amazon.

I was in the same boat, figuring that I would just wait until July. But, I was messing around and put three items in my cart and then noticed there was a $10 credit...from what I don't remember. I just said, screw it, and ordered:

Asphalt Jungle
One-eyed Jacks
AK Dreams

All I wanted was the Before Trilogy but it's 3 cents short to qualify for free shipping...I might as well just order from Amazon now.

Pretty happy with my purchases. Picked up

Breaking the Waves
Antichrist
Seconds
Don't Look Now
Slacker

Thus completing all of the current Linklater and Von Trier titles, and starting on the Roeg ones. Although I don't think I'll ever have it in me to buy the criterion disc of Man who Fell to Earth.

I bet he isn't the only one who is suffering from that issue either.

I've been so Criterion focused today that I almost missed MOC announcing HHH's Daughter of the Nile! Hopefully Criterion has this on the way as well, but as the only HHH film i don't have a copy of, the MOC release will be a day one purchase. Stoked!

I feel the same way. I liked An Autumn Afternoon better, as well.

If I were to recommend one title that seems to not get much fanfare, I'd say give Woman in the Dunes a try. Theres a lot to satisfy all kinds of films fans in WITD.
