I saw this morning while at the gym : Netflix is supposed to be finishing up Orson Welles' final movie. ???

http://deadline.com/2017/03/orson-we...nd-1202043295/

pretty cool since it sounds like it just needs to be edited and restored. when I first saw the headline, I thought that footage would still need to be shot. that would be beyond strange for a movie that I understand was shot in 1970.

on the above note, I, too, would be excited for The Magnificent Ambersons, which I've never seen.

A Place in the Sun and A Face in the Crowd would make my day, as well.

but I'd go cukoo for Cocoa Puffs if The Tree of Life is Criterion's first foray into 4K. just got a great 4K set and can't wait to see what it can do.

Exciting news if they can finally finish it up and get it released.

For sure it does. It was confirmed to be coming a few days ago. Wasn't sure if it would be for June, though I do have it on my June predictions list, so I will at the very least carry on the tradition of getting 1/6 right if they announce it today

I find myself hoping Sixteen Candles gets announced for June. Along with the Shout release of Streets of Fire, I can have a 1984 flashback double-feature this summer.

Man, how many years have you been doing this now? Hahaha. Kudos to you for finding something you're good at and enjoy doing, Shell.

Since when do you own the Avon?

Smallest state in the country and we still haven't run into each other, as far as we know.

Geezus, didn't realize you were that far down in the state. You might as well be in a foreign country.

I don't think Pink Floyd The Wall will ever be licensed to another label. It's the kind of title, like the Beatles movies owned by Apple/Universal that are treated as music blu-rays. Sony music will eventually issue it on HD themselves.

Seriously just bought it from Criterion last week. Saw that it was vanishing from other sellers and wanted to make sure i got a copy in case anything doesn't make it to the upgraded release. Will be interesting to see what the upgrade contains.

Must have been one of the last copies as criterion isn't selling it anymore.

Yeah, it's now selling for $399.50 on Amazon.

Good job taking one for the team.
