I stopped by two Best Buy stores yesterday looking for Charade but I didn't have any luck. Maybe I should have been looking in the B's.

My predictions: Videodrome, Le Cercle Rouge (that is my secret release I'd like to happen), The Game (it is coming just not sure when)

I would guess they will have a title or two new to the DVD/ BD collection. My guesses are way off... but they are what I secretly want.

Although I would secretly like a classic Paramount or United Artist title mixed in esp for a HD release. Thinking Don't Look Now... or IMAGES from Altman.

I know I am reaching high haha

Thought that was the "C" section, for Criterion. (That was the only possible explanation I could come up with for why they were all there in the same place.) Just one of their stores I frequent does it this way though.

Since it's been mentioned that some of Criterions old LD titles are starting to pop up on DVD and Blu-ray, I thought I'd post a list of Laser titles that never made it to the smaller disc. Obviously some of these titles are not too likely to come to Criterion Blu anytime soon (aka Ghostbusters). I whipped this list out quickly, so there might be mistakes.

The Magnificent Ambersons
Help!
The Graduate
It's a Wonderful Life
Blade Runner
A Hard Days Night

There are some possibilities in there. As unlikely as it is, how wonderful would it be if Criterion got Annie Hall from a suffering MGM?

If we are talking getting titles from MGM, Blue Velvet is at the top of my list.

I can't let myself believe that Criterion is working on The Game until it actually happens. Universal is releasing their ported garbage HD-DVD worldwide right now and I keep expecting that that's what we'll be stuck with as well when the title makes it stateside.

The Game is a Universal exclusive, and was already released on HD-DVD, which means they have HD rights to it, along with The Deer Hunter. Did CC buy the rights to it recently, or is this just speculation?

I have a feeling that the announcements is going to be small. That BBS set for DVD is in December, so I only see 2 titles, 3 max that will be announced. I just hope one is a surprise.

The cover art for Cronos looks like it was drawn by Mike Mignola (creator of Hellboy).

haha, I know you were serious, I was just joking around cause you said that line like three or four times, sorry about the confusion.

As for the December releases, I guess it was too much to expect another monster month, so this is fine by me. I've never seen either of those films, so it'll be nice to not have to pre-order something once again. I am looking forward to renting both though.
