You only see bidets in French New Wave films...actually, can anyone name a film featuring a bidet?

Well, I'm a bidet-master. Before you turn on the water, you have to sit down first!

There's a comedic scene in Crocodile Dundee that involves a bidet. When I saw that film at the theater back in 1986, when I was 14 years old, I had no idea what the bidet was.

...and this reminds me that...

I have a still-unwatched Blu-ray of Crocodile Dundee/Crocodile Dundee II that has been sitting around for probably two years now. That might be a fun choice for this weekend.

I'm glad I reminded you of your sealed/unopened Crocodile Dundee movies! Here's a shout out to bidets 'round the world! Cleaning one ass at a time!

When in doubt never forget they also released John Woo, Beastie Boys and Armageddon. You just never know with this company.

This Michael Curtiz directed interpretation with the legendary actors John Garfield and Patricia Neal is frequently cited as the best of the bunch (though the Bogart and Bacall version is the best known and also dear to my heart).

More John Garfield on Blu-ray is a wonderful thing.
My favorite noir. You folks who haven't seen it are in for a treat.

I love Crocodile Dundee 1 and especially the massively underrated part 2! I'll never understand why part 2 is so disliked. I think it's an absolute blast!

Tell that to my 9 yr. old self! I was with my mom, visiting one of her friends, and she had a bidet. Never saw one before, but had a general idea for what it was for. So after I *ahem*..I decide to try out this newfangled bathroom gadget, and I turn like two of the knobs on the wall, and water just starts shooting up and I tried sitting on it, and it was splashing, and I freaked out, and yelled for my mom, half naked and water all over the place. Not sure I've been back there since

You've convinced me. What can you do for Le Samourai?

Has anyone solved the waving "T" yet? I'm thinking it alludes to Mr. T. Is D.C. Cab or Rocky 3 coming to Criterion?

Hopefully its this: http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0086944/?ref_=m_nmfmd_slf_79

That's what happens every time they try to pencil it into the release schedule?

Samurai's use swords
The Pen(cil) breaking shows that it is not mightier than a sword
Therefore you still need Samurai.

No more clues until we get our 16 Candles, damn it! (Unless it's for Weird Science, Pretty in Pink, or Some Kind of Wonderful.)

I'll take Some Kind of Wonderful. Not a big fan of the other ones.

I think Ben Manckiewicz just essentially confirmed an upgrade of Le Plaisir is coming. He said on the intro on TCM that Criterion did the digital transfer and the logo popped up. And some of you really need to try a Japanese toilet, it could change your life.

He's probably just referencing the high def. digital restoration that was used for the DVD release.
