Well last updates they changed a few DVD pages to link to Amazon for sales... and one of them got upgraded.

Anyone notice that Kagemusha is showing for pre-order? It appears to only be the dvd edition on pre-order status though, so that makes it a little more confusing to me.
Is this simply different packaging? Because if it is then why is it up for pre-order when other titles have been switched without doing this in the past?

They upgraded to bluray? The DVD is probably up for preorder as it's using the new Artwork to replace the old one with Criterions older branding.

Some of the DVDs upgraded have had their pages link to Amazon rather than bought through site so maybe Criterion has no older stock of the DVD to sell?

on the slate it seems quite unlikely they would release two

Criterion shows Kagemusha in the Coming Soon list, but they already released it back in 2009.
