Just think of it as a release of David Lynch: The Art of Life with FWWM as an extra

You mean Elephant Man, Wild at Heart AND Lost Highway. Uncut. Along with Straight Story (oddly, or unoddly rather, my fav Lynch).

A Criterion Collection release of Fire Walk with Me would be cool, but I'm hoping for something else, since the whole "releasing new Blu-ray editions of films that I already have in my still-unwatched Blu-ray stack" phenomenon makes it really difficult for me when it comes to stockpiling all of these purchases for when I have more free time after retirement or after an apocalyptic event.
Disappointed in you, Owl

Okay if Criterion releases this, there should be no excuse to stop them anymore from a re-release of The Silence of the Lambs.

I was thinking Criterion would instead re-release Blue Velvet and include the doc on that. I never would've thought they'd release FWWM though....

Dude, fire wok with meat. If that's not FWWM then it's the most misleading clue they've ever put out.

Mayhaps, Criterion is releasing a definitive Blu-ray edition of Cannibal Holocaust.

Never thought I'd be underwhelmed by the prospect of Criterion releasing a David Lynch movie.

Here's hoping that this clue will be like the one Criterion gave for Taipei Story, which was actually part of a collection. It would be great for Criterion to offer another big collection this year (after World Cinema II and Marseille.)

Maybe a Lynch collection of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me grouped with Lost Highway, Inland Empire, The Elephant Man, and The Straight Story is what we will will get.

In all seriousness, it does look like a hint for Hannibal (2001).

Which would not be good, since Hannibal is one of the most godawful, watered-down, studio-compromised, miserable excuses for a movie that I have ever seen in my entire life. What the filmmakers did to Thomas Harris's novel is a travesty.

Then again, come to think of it...

It could possibly be a hint for The Silence of the Lambs.

Thomas Harris didn't do it a lot of favors either.

And the fire is a reference to Fire Down Below (1997) co-starring Kris Kristofferson. Lone Star it is!

It looks more like Australia to me. And if we were to anthropomorphize how it was feeling being cooked like that, I'd say it would be very afraid. Yes indeed, what we have here is a Steak in Fright.

Seagal deserves a spot in the collection. "The Glimmer Man", "On Deadly Ground", and "Fire Down Below" need BD releases and "Out for Justice" and "Marked for Death" need remasterings. This is right up Criterion's alley. A Seagal box set would be much-welcomed.

I will say that Under Siege definitely deserves a better blu ray. The current one isn't bad I just wish it had DTS-HD MA audio.

I actually think Marked for Death looks excellent.
