It's good to see Criterion getting some of their older OOP titles back, but would definitely prefer some titles that aren't available from other publishers or never made the jump to blu.

Some of those titles were released after the first DVD releases of those titles and before the 2nd releases that were restored (i.e. Brief Encounter). In general, they use the most recent release if they can. But a lot of these Essential Art House DVDs were released before the restored ones, hence many of them simply used the first DVD releases of those titles, many of which were released from the late 90s-early 2000s. Which titles are you looking to get?

While I'm happy for all the central female actors gettin' interviewed, to not have Steve Buscemi among the mix makes me sad. Is he the kind of actor who can't talk about his past works? I can't imagine him being incredibly busy at the moment.

Yes, I am a pig, too, and I freely admit it. Paul Bettany, you are a lucky man.
You have to check out their entire self titled 1982 debut album. Its amazing!

Yeah, that's pretty disappointing. He's the best thing about the movie for me.

I know there's a running joke in Hollywood about how Steve Buscemi is always willing to talk, but they never ask him.

This has to wait until they release Freddy got fingered.

Actually, I need to re-watch Orange County. I remember good things many moons ago.

I watched "Freddy Got Fingered" again about a year ago. Hadn't seen it since I was about 14 or 15. It seemed like a dumb comedy when I saw it as a teen. Seeing it now, it seems like some avant-garde, borderline Alejandro Jodorowsky type of shit. Really one of the most insane films to ever come out of Hollywood. That film would never get released by a major studio like 20th Century Fox in 2017. I have to wonder what the execs at Fox thought when they saw it. "Wow, this is f**ked up. But the kids love Tom Green, right?"

He's probably busy putting out fires & rescuing cats from trees

I guess it's time for me to buy that multi-region player now

"Movie 43" was bad in a really unfunny way. "Freddy Got Fingered" is just completely insane. Also, it has a totally unhinged Rip Torn, which is always a plus.

Sid and Nancy has just been preordered! I've always thought this was a fascinating film. It's 2 hours of a reprehensible couple that by the end of the film you deeply care for. That's just my opinion on it though.

Fun fact:

Stacey Travis, who plays the girlfriend of Seymour (Steve Buscemi) in Ghost World, also has a prominent role in Hardware (1990), which is/was available on Blu-ray from Severin Films.

I'm pretty sure that most of you already own the Hardware Blu-ray, but it's worth seeking out if you don't.
