I'd love to see P.T. Anderson direct a science fiction film. That would be interesting. And then it can come straight to the Criterion Collection (not enough modern (post-1980) sci fi films in the collection to choose from, ya know?)

Agreed on Magnolia, which is interesting because I get the impression that most people rate it as one of Anderson's best. It's good, but at the bottom of his filmography for me.

Would love for Criterion to release Hard Eight.

Yeah I enjoyed quite a bit of it but there were 2 major moments that completely threw me off and took me out of the film. I don't want to mention them for anyone who hasn't seen the film but I have a feeling you know what those 2 moments are lol. Absolutely at the bottom of the list for me and agreed that we need Hard Eight on blu ray

Anyone surprised or know why Memento has not made the the the Criterion cut yet?

I would have thought that Memento would be a perfect release. I have the Ltd. Ed.US DVD release which is great, especially the packaging. The fact that this is only 1 of 2 films Nolan has done a commentary for (correct me if I'm wrong), you have the added bonus of watching the film in another way

Memento already has a plethora of special features across all of it's releases. I'd rather have Criterion finish porting their DVD/LaserDisc catalog before acquiring new titles.

Hard Eight is such a badass film. Would love to see a CC release of it.

But from what I can see, none of them have all been on one release?

Look up Heidi Klum as Jessica Rabbit. It's scary accurate.

Synechdoche, New York. Hoffman's small role in Scent of a Woman is great too. I love it when he gives O'Donnell the fake wiseguy slap at the beginning.
Another one of Hoffman's roles he is brilliant in is Along Came Poly. I love that movie.

There were other actors in Scent of a Woman besides Gabrielle Anwar?

I need to pay more attention when I watch that movie again.

(The tango scene might just have my vote for the sexiest scene of any 1990s movie. It's the only thing about that film that really sticks out in my memory after all of these years.)

Man... I wish Criterion still had the rights to Coup de torchon, Le Trou, and Touchez Pas au Grisbi.

I've seen it but it's just addons to her face. It's scary, period. When it takes 9 hours to aplly all the prosthetics & make-up only to end up looking like a drag queen?
