Hmv is doing a 3/5 for £20?30 on arrow titles at the moment so works out at just £6
Arrrow's transfer is a little brighter but also slightly better encoded, the underlying master is the same. Supplements are different (although I don't think losing Murder a la Mod is a huge deal but the Baumbach interview on the Criterion is definitely worthwhile). Overall though, I would go with the Arrow for that sort of price.

They are barely $100. If you can afford 5 blu-rays, you can afford a region-free player.

Since that's not reality, it doesn't really matter what you "want."

So you prioritize.

Blow Out? It's a great film. I mean, a little bit of 'if you like that sort of thing' but who doesn't like a stylish 80s blend of 70s conspiracy movies and giallo-esque slashers.

but why, I have no problem with buying movies from other places (ie: UK & Germany) but they have to be region-free, so why are some and others are not and I'm sure that other people would want the same thing not just me

Region codes are good for consumers. It gives you more choices. When 2 companies put out the same film in different regions with different transfers, different supplements, and content they created themselves? Those choices, and that additional content, are there due to the existence of region coding. Grab yourself a region free player, and enjoy the additional options that are out there due to region coding.

I'm going to, I'm going to. When Arrow put out The Burbs I almost did then. Then Sony put out a BD-R of Toni Erdman Yes, I need to make changes in my life.

5 blu rays that are £30 total or 20 for 3

And they maybe $100 where YOU are, but the range is a lot less limited & more expensive here. The only decent offer is the Zeiki

I don't think that WKW's production company owns those two films and they may still be with Kino.

Because often times, distribution rights for films in other countries are through different studios or distributors. So its a legal requirement that they be locked so as to not infringe on another company's business.

Again, spend $100 on a region-free player and they don't have to be region free. It's your priority and you choose to remain region locked.

Personally no, although it is generally considered one of De Palma's best by many others. Having said that, I still do appreciate that it has a couple of amazing scenes at the very least and I am happy enough to own it for those.
