I want for Criterion to announce another Jacques Tourneur film or another Val Lewton production, since they have already released Cat People.

Perhaps I Walked with a Zombie or The Leopard Man. Or Night of the Demon.

(Before anybody replies to this effect, I'm aware that there is a region-free French Blu-ray of Night of the Demon, but I'm holding out for an American release.)

Lost in America arrived in the mail from Barnes & Noble, but the case is busted apart, and the sleeve artwork is torn.

The Blu-ray disc itself is undamaged, but everything else took a beating. I transferred the sleeve, disc, and booklet to one of my replacement cases for now, and I've emailed Barnes & Noble for a replacement.

Willing to bet we get a John Waters title tomorrow. I noticed Warner Archive was re releasing some of his stuff, but notably missing were Female Trouble, Polyester, & Pecker. I think all of those would fit within the line (alright, less so Pecker, but still).

My Wish List

Chungking Express back in print
Passion of Joan of Arc: upgraded
Pandora's Box back in print
Spellbound
Notorious
Stray Dog
The Lady Eve

And to echo an earlier comment that Studiocanal would come to their senses.

Also, let me echo one more film I wish Warner would license out to Criterion is "The Cameraman". I also could go for The Burmese Harp.

I'd also go wild for Cameraman, since it's one of my favorite Keaton films. And the fact that I'm stuck with DVD for it makes me a little sad.

or La Strada which is already out by Studio Canal (they finally did something other than re-releasing the same films) and the transfer looks great based on screenshots.

Personally, I'm really hoping for Chaplin's The Circus! And also The Tree of Life.

The Ingmar Bergman trilogy would be a great upgrade. Or the Antoine Doinel set. Any other possibilities?
A lot of their old box sets have been restored already, aside from those there is:

4 by Agnès Varda
The BRD Trilogy
Carl Theodor Dreyer Box Set
Six Moral Tales
Andrzej Wajda: Three War Films
Pigs, Pimps & Prostitutes: 3 Films by Shohei Imamura
Stage and Spectacle:Three Films by Jean Renoir

I will keep dreaming they announce one of the bolded ones, or the Bergman one

I'd love an upgrade of Paul Schrader's "Mishima".

Anything from Scorsese's titles-still-not-on-BD... esp. "The Age of Innocence" or "After Hours". Also, "Kundun" or "Bringing Out the Dead".

De Palma's "Casualties of War" or "Sisters".

Paul Schrader's "Blue Collar". More Pasolini.

James Toback's "Fingers".

"Andrei Rublev".

More Cronenberg.

Man I love me some Terrence Malick and I LOVE The Tree of Life.

But they just released A New World last year and he's already got four films in the collection.

The priority should be releasing great foreign films that have no region A release yet.

...perhaps something French.

Spellbound may not be top-tier Hitchcock, but even as a "curiosity" I think its place in the collection is deserved.

In a perfect world, November's releases will be:

The Virgin Suicides
The Grand Budapest Hotel
La Strada
Desert Hearts
Election

I wouldn't be surprised if The Philadelphia Story, Sixteen Candles, and/or Night of the Living Dead get announced for November. If not November, then definitely December. It seems like Alex Ross Perry is working on something for Criterion, but I'm sure that's being planned for 2018.

If at least one of those titles would be announced, I'd be happy.
I hope if Criterion are to release The Philadelphia Story or Bringing Up Baby, they'd use a new scan as their recent release of His Girl Friday featured a visibly dated transfer.

Personally, I'd love to see The Body Snatcher. I think it is easily the best out of Lewton's productions and the top horror of the 1940s.

NOTLD isn't coming to Criterion; Mill Creek got the rights.
Election is an interesting prediction, but maybe they'd wait until December to release with Payne's next film?

Criterion would disagree with you, given that they released it on DVD 15 years ago, before they lost the rights.
