Would love it if we got another Ozu blu. There are 4K blus in Japan of Early Summer, Equinox Flower, and Late Autumn that have been out for a while now.

I rather enjoyed Spellbound.

Every month I've got my fingers crossed for Wim Wenders' "Until the End of the World." Not holding my breath though.

Spellbound certainly isn't my favorite Hitchcock film (The Birds, Vertigo), but I think it's a quality film that is worth re-watching every once in a while. I hardly think it's fatally flawed.

As for my wish list, I can hardly put a list together.

I really want Coppola's The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette.

I wouldn't be opposed to Fincher's Panic Room, even though I wasn't particularly a fan of it in the theater. But having a Fincher film I don't own just troubles me.

As many others have mentioned, an upgrade of some Bergman would be very welcome.

Those are the first that come to mind, anyways.

Titles I dream Criterion will release that have seemingly little chance:

John Cassavetes: Husbands, Minnie & Moskowitz

Dennis Hopper: Out of the Blue

Harmony Korine: Gummo, Julien Donkey Boy, Mister Lonely

Kelly Reichardt: Old Joy

Werner Herzog: ANYTHING.

David Gordon Green: All The Real Girls

John Sayles:
ANYTHING.

Francis Ford Coppola: The Rain People, One From the Heart

Robert Altman: Brewster McCloud, A Perfect Couple

Alan Clarke: ANYTHING.

Robert Wise: Born to Kill

Kenneth Lonergan: You Can Count on Me.

William Friedkin: Bug

Samuel Fuller: The Big Red One

Sam Peckinpah: Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid

Richard Linklater: Suburbia, Tape.

Jeff Nichols: Shotgun Stories.

Mike Leigh: Secrets & Lies, Happy Go Lucky

Monte Hellman: Cockfighter

Gaspar Noe: Irreversible, I Stand Alone

Lukas Moodysson: Together, Show Me Love, Lilya 4-Ever

Elaine May:
The Heartbreak Kid, Mikey & Nicky

Election is an interesting prediction, but maybe they'd wait until December to release with Payne's next film?
As someone else mentioned, Night of the Living Dead is in the public domain. As far as I know, Mill Creek's release isn't the new 4K restoration.

Election has been rumored to be coming to Criterion for awhile now. Of course nothing is official until Criterion announces it.

There's an excellent chance November gets a box set (Even with the early Olympic announcement for December. I think December may be very light).

Past Novembers saw the release of:

2016 Lone Wolf and Cub
2015 Apu Trilogy
2014 Les Blank
2013 Zatoichi
2012 Trilogy of Life
2011 Three Colors
2010 BBS

This would be one of the best Criterion line-ups ever. By far.

It shames me to say that as a huge Cassavetes fan, I have yet to see Husbands. If it were announced, it would be a total blind buy for me (much like Love Streams, which was worth it!)

As for Minnie and Moskowitz, I caught this a few years ago on Netflix, I would LOVE if they released it. Would go great in my collection.
Ultimate Cassel 'stache Edition.

So, is there going to be an Akira Kurosawa title this year?

Dersu Uzala is on Filmstruck (with criterion logo):

https://watch.filmstruck.com/detail/1300001131

The status of the recent Italian release is currently unknown if it was restored or not. It could be that the best that could be done doesn't represent what people expect:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=290634

Madadayo is also on Filmstruck (has not received individual release):

https://watch.filmstruck.com/detail/1300001222

Red Beard received a restoration in 2015 (please correct if I am wrong):

http://www.screendaily.com/festivals...090703.article

Just wondering if anything is going to be released in 2017? November Announcements are today .... Red Beard or Dersu Uzala could be among them?
