Atomic Blonde
is one of my favorite 2017 movies so far. It's often illogical and disjointed, but style goes a long way. It's like the older James Bond 007 movies in that regard.
I agree, Atomic Blonde was so much fun. As much as I enjoyed Baby Driver from this summer as well, among others, I found that I kept thinking about AB long after seeing it. I'm not trying to compare it to any of the Marvel films or remakes/reboots/etc., but for an original film, man it was great!

The artwork on the coat/hair looks like space, The Tree of Life explore space and time.

Brad Pitt is a man and this drawing shows a man.

He wears a cross, The Tree of Life explores religion and beliefs.

Found this image of Sean Penn who is in the film:

Thus, the drawing is teasing the Criterion release of The Tree of Life.

Tom Jones? A Best Picture winner that never had an anamorphic release on DVD, let alone a Blu-ray. Been waiting for a decent release for well over a decade.

I mean, they don't all have to be riddles from the mouth of the Sphinx.

Definitely Tom Jones, one of the few Best Picture winners not on blu yet.

No one should doubt the sincerity of Jon Mulvaney again.

I e-mailed Criterion last week suggesting PERSONA as the next film to get the re-release treatment. I supported my suggestion with the sob tale of my DigiPack randomly breaking when I went to open the case and how all attempts to replace the film via new copies on Amazon had failed.

Jon Mulvaney followed up with me the next day, telling me Criterion will replace any one product for $5 (Discs, DigiPacks, Slips, Booklets). You simply need to send the money via PayPal to their orders e-mail address with an exact listing in the memo field of what you are purchasing.

I sent the money, got an e-mail Tuesday that my order had shipped, and received the replacement DigiPack today in a well wrapped package and in tip top condition.

What makes it so definite ? If I had to guess I’d say Lenny (1974)
