I found the Audio quality on "The Thin Red Line" to be very nice......

I wonder how long it took PP to find a copy without a crease in the front cover

You have to believe someone not in the know will pick it up and wonder who mucked up the cover and put it back before someone thinks it was them.

I found one last Friday at Best Buy haha It is odd the image never struck me as looking like a crease though which is what they meant to imply. On the standard plastic case I just check for box cuts on the spine etc

It may be B&N itself that's up for sale this Fall.

Hehe... I did when the first digipak on Blu was annunced. But after buying the first one and realizing they were high quality I don't have a problem with them. Only those original crap quality ones do I hate and thankfully they offered replacement cases. Then again when it comes to Seven Samurai on Blu-Ray I'd probably buy it if the casing was a ham sandwich.

Wow, great stuff. I think that was the most in depth one of those I've read yet. Very interesting. Plus, I had no idea the studio has the ability to influence certain aspects of the product like that. I wonder if that's also why Kirk Douglas' name is on Paths of Glory.

Well...if that is the case...then it would be a safe bet that the Hollywood Boxset would be up for dibs during the sale.

I was feeling sick all day so tonight I decided to lay low and curl up on the couch. I watched The Thin Red Line and all I can say is movies like this are the reason I got into Blu-ray. What a fantastic presentation from Criterion.

Seven Samurai looks gorgeous, I'll probably netflix the disc when it comes out then buy it in November if I like it a lot.
