DD is a much better bet than Amazon at this point in terms of items not being damaged. I ordered almost 30 discs during their recent 15% off sale and they came in 4 or 5 shipments. Not one item came damaged. They don't use any padding in the boxes, but the cases don't move around much.

The show was fierce, energetic, and insane. Iggy went through “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, “Lust for Life”, “TV Eye”, “Nightclubbing“, “No Fun”, “Real Wild Child”, “Repo Man”, “1969”, “Gimme Danger”, “Search and Destroy”. “The Passenger”, “I'm Sick of You”, “Some Weird Sin”, ”Skull Ring”, “Gardenia”, “Real Cool Time”, and a couple of others. After the concert, I felt as though I had just run a marathon. I was right up front by the barricade, and there was all sorts of moshing and crowd-surfing behind me, so we were all getting pushed to and fro. It was one of the most intense shows that I've ever seen in my life, and I've been going to concerts for 30 years. Iggy Pop headlined an all-day festival here in Atlanta yesterday, so I also saw Dinosaur Jr., The Internet, Peaches, The Coathangers, etc. |

I saw Iggy the 1st time in 1988 here in Chicago at the Metro. I was almost 17. I have seen him a few times since then, and he never disappoints. The energy he has is just amazing. Anyways, I remember it well because he played that 88' show a few months after I saw Ministry and The Revolting Cocks at the same venue. That was a thrash fest and of course the bands looked intimidating, especially Al Jourgensen (who hopefully is resting in peace) What was so funny and now ironic since Al is gone, was that everyone was talking about how old Iggy was and looked, as I think he was past 40 then. At that time, many younger punks were transferring into the newer punk/progressive faze at that time. There was still respect for the guys that paved the way, but there was a push for newer blood in that style of music. I remember talking to my friends about it later how I though Iggy looked like he could beat the hell out of all the members of the last show we saw there, which was the Ministry show. Now, almost 30 years later, and thanks for those pics Owl, he still looks like he could beat the hell out of any 20+ year old punk. IGGY will live on, long after he is dead, which says a lot for his music and most importantly, his never stop spirit.
![]() Anyways.... Back to your regularly scheduled Criterion discussion... |

When someone said Iggy, I thought it meant Criterion got Gimme Danger.
A Criterion/Amazon arrangement is bound to happen sooner or later. The two Jarmusches, The Handmaiden, and Wiener-Dog feel like candidates for upgrades. |
