Used a $50 credit, which was nice. Also, one of these will be my 100th Criterion blu. And to think, there was a time when I thought $20 was too much to spend for a movie.

It wouldn't be over, as it was never announced. Somebody got ahold of the code and posted it, and word got out. No official announcement has ever been made on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

And the Flash sale always lasts 24 hours.

I understand that. The clock is not ticking until Criterion says it's ticking. The sale has not started yet because there has been no announcement, nor is the sale on display on the Criterion site. I don't know what's up with that page, but somebody goofed. One hand is not talking to the other.

Somebody got the code early, and people just started using it on their own.

I don't understand the problem people are having; I placed an order earlier using COOP and just now checked and COOP is still working for 50% off. Could it be a browser issue? I'm using Chrome.

The code us working because the sale has now gone live. It is posted on their home page, and I expect social media and e-mails to reflect the same within the next few minutes.

Sorry for not having a more compelling argument re: sources. Someone who works with Criterion was told by Criterion that they were working on the release and it fell through, but that they were at least going to be able to release The Breakfast Club.

I'm using Chrome as well. The issue is that Criterion disabled the code temporarily, but now that they have posted the start of the sale, it's been re-enabled.
