Just got my 100th---the Colors trilogy.

Technically I'm over 100 if you count individual releases and ones I've lost over the years such as Robocop.

Apparently, counting by hand, I have 92 Criterion spines on Blu-ray and 25 on DVD.

It seems like I'm missing something.

Then again, I haven't slept in a couple days, so this might not be the best time to be counting by hand.

It seems that this spectacular and very expensive Chinese edition is the only one worldwide yet that it includes the 4K scan of The Last Emperor in 2D!

Nice, I pre-ordered when it was first listed on Amazon. So it will be price guaranteed at this price when generally the cheapest Criterion fall is like $24-25

It's interesting, "trippy" films are actually terrible to watch while on drugs (i.e. "Fear and Loathing", "House", "The Holy Mountain", etc). Films that are completely grounded in reality are the funniest thing to watch on mushrooms, for example, because reality is funnier than anything. Absurd human constructs that we create for no reason are by far what makes you laugh the most when you're tripping on something.

Seems it's unavailable now. I had my pre-order locked-in already, but I hope they don't cancel for "price issues." That's happened before.

I don’t find drug movies to be enjoyable to watch while high either. Corny melodramas are fun. I remember watching The Happy Ending while high (on weed) and getting all super emotional over the woman’s sad life, which makes me laugh now because I’m usually pretty reserved.

I agree. In college, my buddy and I watched "Little Big League" after smoking weed and were crying and rolling on the floor laughing. I also remember watching "She's All That" on mushrooms while my roommate sat on the balcony of our apartment just staring for multiple hours (people probably thought he was insane) and laughing to the point of my stomach hurting.
