I just need Bottle Rocket to complete my collection, but when I was ready to order it with the remaining criterions from bn, it was already sold out. I hope it'll be available again for such a great price.

You can always order Bottle Rocket from Deep Discount and use the code DVDTALK to save 25% off the price. Sure it's out of stock now, but at least you'll get a good price on it, $18.67 shipped no tax.

On that list, both "Amarcord" and "High And Low" are available from Criterion. They were part of the remastering.

the only problem seems to be that they won't ship to Europe any longer because of many lost packages, at least that's what I read in a german forum. Btw. It definitely feels good to collect criterions from the beginning. When I first noticed this great label back in 2005, they already had too many spines, but this time around I want to have most of them, if not all blu ray spines

What's the deal on Contempt is it the same type of issue as Ran in Criterion losing the rights and it won't be on their Blu probably never?

Well never say never - but yes, as of now Criterion does not have the rights to Contempt and there will not be a Blu-ray release.

Oh well I might wait on the DVD but a sale at $19.99 not sure if I should skip it

Optimum almost always region locks their BDs, which is a shame. I've love to be able to pick up Ran, Contempt and Belle de Jour on Blu-ray (just not going to spring for a new region-free player right now).

Yeah, they will probably be region "B" locked if their past releases are any indication.

Probably not, unfortunately. As mentioned, Optimum has been known to region lock a lot of their titles.
