If you don't, I will hunt you down!

Seriously, though, we don't have Alamo Drafthouse theaters here, which sucks. And the only time I've seen Blow Up on a "big screen" was in a film class at community college, so as you might imagine it wasn't quite the theater experience that one might look forward to.

Reserve your seat now, if you haven't Jacob. My local Alamo sold out already.

I'd go if it was an actual print. I do dig their free screenings, though.

Same here, I got James Bond films all over the place on DVD and the big Bond 50 BluRay set. I seem to remember there were those random 5 movie sets that had a bunch of different 007 films among all the different actors. I seem to recall I had The Spy Who Loved Me(2 copies, bought the standalone DVD), Dr No, Man with the Golden Gun, Dr No, License to Kill, and one more that escapes me) and also Die Another Day when it came out. I will soon own three different versions of Silence of the Lambs(DVD, previous BluRay, and now the Criterion).

Hmm, I only need 38 pts. to get to a $50 GC. I wonder what I should get? I've already spent so much this year, and this, what? The 4th? LOL

But I'm sure there's something I need. Thinking.

Woman in the Dunes? Never seen it. The review says that it is sure that Lynch saw it, though. So it must be up my alley. Hmm.

Watched Woman in the Dunes for the first time back in March and I still occasionally catch myself thinking about it. I would never say anything is a safe blind buy but this is as close as it gets(for me anyway).

I picked it up. And something else, so I have a $50 GC. Now I have to decide how to spend it.

I told myself that i would learn more about Asian cinema in the near future. So hopefully that will help. I admit that I have been mostly about Euro-cinema my whole life.

EDIT: I think I'm going to go with The Kid with the Bike. I'll have all the Dardennes titles from Criterion this way. I can't believe it will let me down at all.

I don't have time to really put together some thoughts on it but here are some films that crossed my mind while watching it. The newer stuff could have been influenced by WITD...

Kill List, Eyes Wide Shut, The Twilight Zone, Harakiri
Here was my initial reaction to WITD. It is a great film.

I'm due for a Woman in the Dunes rewatch.

I didn't really care too much for it initially.

I would adore Man Bites Dog being released on Blu-ray, so I could upgrade from my Criterion DVD

It is quite possibly the best Japanese movie in the collection, at least if you ask me.

I almost agree with that. Kwaidan and Harakiri are right up there too.

Some of the ones that come the closest for me are Double Suicide, Intentions of Murder, House, The Ballad of Narayama, Harakiri, Onibaba, The Face of Another, The Naked Island, The Warped Ones and Branded to Kill.
