I'm definitely in for the two Mungiu films. Both look very good, and after 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days I'll jump in sight unseen with total confidence.

Really glad I skipped on pre-ordering Breakfast Club and Night of the Living Dead, for me Midnight Cowboy is a far more personal film and is a pre-order. One of my top five favourite films of all time, and is the film that got me interested in films and its history. Released in the tail end of May so I'll be watching the blu-ray exactly 20 years since I first saw this phenomenal film on VHS when I was 13.

This month will hurt the wallet that's for sure, will probably buy every title. That said, the cover art recently is really lacking, to put it mildly.

I actually kind of like the Midnight Cowboy art. Would look nice as a Digipak too.

Well, I've been predicting "Mishima" upgrade every month for years now, LOL.

Knew it must be coming at some point. "Mishima" was even shown theatrically near me back in December.

That was one of the last of my great upgrade wish list titles for Criterion.

I'm happiest about that one.

I'll see about maybe upgrading "Au Hasard Balthazar", as I've had the Criterion DVD for ages. And I've got a "Midnight Cowboy" DVD and blu ray already, so again, a maybe.

I'm honestly not that stoked about the other titles for May. But that's OK.
The previous three months (Feb., March, and April), I'm getting ALL but ONE Criterion title.

I guess I could use a lighter month.

I'll pick up Midnight Cowboy sooner or later. Other than that, nothing for me.

The lack of True Stories is seriously starting to bug me. I just want that movie in widescreen.

Moonrise is the title that I'm most excited about.

Pencil me in for Midnight Cowboy and Au hasard Balthazar as well.

In for Mishima, Midnight Cowboy and Au Hasard Balthazar. Maybe Moonrise. That’s one of the best months in quite some time. It’s got something for everyone and then some.

I won't be getting Midnight Cowboy right away, but i'm definitely planning to pick that one up during a B&N sale.

Insanely stacked month. I honestly want every title, but that Bresson is number one. It has been long overdue.

Wanna know what's funny? I get Amazon & New Egg stuff from Edison, NJ. Heck for NE I check the 3-day free shipping, and I still get it the next day.

Midnight Cowboy is a big get and another BP winner for Criterion this year. I definitely need to blind buy it in the next sale.

I'm confused... where is 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days? Does Criterion not have the rights to it?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. Artificial Eye is putting it out in a couple months, but that's obviously from the UK. I don't think there's even a date for a US release. So, who knows?
