I’m honestly surprised that The Elephant Man hasn’t been put out there by Criterion. I’d have expected it years before Fire Walk With Me in terms of Lynch priorities.

I imagine it will be among the pre-Spine #1000 Paramount announcements, along with Ferris Bueller and hopefully Scorsese’s Bringing Out the Dead.

I feel like I missed something when I saw it. It just didn’t work for me. Parts do, and I loved John Heard in it, but on the whole, the pieces all just didn’t fit.

Meanwhile, I think Bringing Out the Dead is, along with Silence, one of Scorsese’s underrated masterpieces.

I was about to post the same! I think it's hilarious too, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not a fan of Hader and/or Armisen.

Among the Criterion tiles they've spoofed are: Grey Gardens, Nanook of the North, The Thin Blue Line, The War Room, and Salesman. There’s also a Spaulding Gray episode, reminiscent of most of his monologues.

Yeah. This is unfortunate as there are quite a few Touchstone Dreyfuss films that still need blu ray releases. Bad situation

I still have a sealed copy of Army of Shadows I need to sell (bought 2 when it went OOP.)

Still debating on buying the UK Melville set, even though I'm not currently region-free. My Melville Criterions are near and dear to my heart.
