Would love to see some more upgrades from Criterion. I doubt we'll see Peeping Tom or The Tales of Hoffmann as they are with Studio Canal (I have the Region B). The Criterion DVD of The Small Back Room is OOP, so I assume the rights are elsewhere, but the DVD releases of A Canterbury Tale, I Know Where I'm Going!, and 49th Parallel are all still in print (the latter has a French BD release, but I believe with burned-in French subtitles). Edit: I know Peeping Tom is just Powell. ![]() |

I also wish Criterion would smile more favorably on Powell and Pressberger not only with upgrades of previously released DVD's but also with additional titles before I get older.
Powell directed many remarkable and important films in the 1930s before he started working with Pressberger which are not represented on DVD, nor on bluray. I fear a chapter in the history of British cinema will be unwritten by lost films if someone doesn't make an effort to put Powell's early work back into our consciousness. |

Does the Barnes and Noble sale run through the entire month of July? If not, do we know an end date?

She worked on the 4k restoration used for the 2015 Studio Canal release, which is spectacular. Is the suggestion, then, that this transfer will form the basis for a Criterion release? |

Man Bites Dog DVD is still available (thought this was OOP) should I get it? Or should I wait for Criteron to put out a blu ray?
