Right or wrong, my gut is leaning towards Eyes Wide Shut. Though I would love for The Shining to be next.

If there’s one filmmaker Criterion would benefit from having, it’s Satoshi Kon.

Perfect Blue and Millennium Actress just seem like Criterion films. (Both are getting 4K restorations, so it seems like prime time). Only issue is that Criterion doesn’t do “locked” subtitles. Anime releases here are WAY cheaper than in Japan, so locker subtitles are done as a “reverse-importation” method. If they could strike a deal with Bandai Visual, then perhaps it could work out fine.

Agreed, as well as Barry Lyndon. That film is just too beautiful. 4K and HDR would be breathtaking.

I feel the same, I would die for a Shining Criterion release but EWS seems more likely.

Speaking of Kubrick & Criterion, with the B&N sale ending in 7 days the only thing I've gotten thus far is Barry Lyndon. I am totally slacking this year, thankfully we still have November. Hoping to pick up at least two more titles, The Killing & Paths of Glory tomorrow or Thursday.

One week left? I might be done. Maybe I’ll grab Breaking the Waves before everything’s said and done, but, I’m good with the 8 that I grabbed:
Barry Lyndon
The Breakfast Club
Female Trouble
Fish Tank
Heaven’s Gate
Insignificance
Koko: A Talking Gorilla
The Lure

Definitely A Knight's Tale because of the book. They're just trolling with the sun and beach towel after all the Raisin in the Sun/Wild Bunch confusion.

I would like to see Criterion work their magic on Roman Polanski's The Fearless Vampire Killers (MGM > WB 1967) and Pirates (Studio Canal 1986).

This. I think the book is the giveaway since that film was based on a novel of the same name. Plus, look at all the other MGM films they've released.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about that one. I think it's been known for a while that they are going to release it, so hopefully this means the announcement is imminent.

I hate double dips
unless the first release had major flaws.
