I'd like Criterion to release I Stand Alone and Irreversible. Gaspar Noé has visited the office and done a closet video, so someone there must be a fan of his. What better time than now with his latest feature, Climax, riding a wave of acclaim. Irreversible might be impossible though if Lionsgate still has it.

Sorry if it’s bern answered before but does Tarkovsky’s Mirror have a chance of being added to the collection?

None of these are confirmed, just a wish list, not even guesses...

After Hours (Scorsese)
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Scorsese)
Bringing Out the Dead (Scorsese)
Klute (Pakula)
Year of the Dragon (Cimino)
Cruising (William Friedkin)
The Devils (I know) (Ken Russell)
Dersu Uzala (Kurosawa)
The Mirror (Tarkovsky)

I'd love some more Criterion Pasolini ( Teorema, Oedipus Rex, Accatone)

I'd love some Bertolucci (Before the Revolution, Partner, The Spider's Stratagem, The Sheltering Sky, Tragedy of a Ridiculous Man, Last Tango in Paris)

In a perfect world, these would be the announcements:

Wanda
Hedwig And The Angry Inch
Notorious
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Altered States

Of course, like every month, I'm hoping for a standalone release of The Last Picture Show. PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN, CRITERION.

We could've been friends if you didn't have Year of the Dragon on there.

Would love for Criterion to release the early breakthrough Asian-American films of Wayne Wang: Chan is Missing and Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart. Neither one has been released on Blu-ray so far and I know Wayne Wang has been recently working on restoring some of his early films. These culturally and historically important films would make great additions to the Criterion Collection.

I really hope there is a Japanese release or two this month. Criterion has been really lacking with the Japanese films recently.

Especially anything Hideo Gosha and of course waiting for the rerelease of the the Human Condition trilogy.

Being an MGM title, I assume a remaster of Thelma & Louise is forthcoming from one of the labels. I saw it for the first time recently and I believe it is deserving of a Criterion release.

As for the Godzilla box set, perhaps they're waiting for closer to the theatrical release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)?

I'm hoping for more Chaplin... A Woman of Paris, The Circus, and A King in New York.

The Chaplin Revue as well, although I could see that being an extra on any of the yet-to-be-released titles.

Would fit real nicely with The Circus! Goddamn that would be good.
Would be nice to get a Criterion edition of The Wild Bunch, with some nice features and finally with lossless audio.

I predict that Criterion will announce their first UHD release today: A Safe Place, which we know already has a 4K scan. The UHD will cost $69.99.

They'll also probably announce a few ordinary 1080p blu rays for the masses: After Hours, Klute, as well as a couple of other similar lesser titles that can't carry A Safe Place's jock strap.

BORN TO KILL (Robert Wise, 1947)
CALL NORTHSIDE 777 (Henry Hathaway, 1948)

John Cameron Mitchell said "soon" back in May when he was asked about Hedwig during an Instagram Live. He did say a new scan had to be done, and he's been touring with the material. I don't expect it until 2019. I would love it if the supplements include some footage from his recent Australian Origin of Love tour, but I bet there will be a ton of stuff from all the incarnations & productions throughout the years. I'd be day 1 for it, no doubt.

Criterion

Not November title related but I noticed some sales on criterion titles that were less than $20. I grabbed The Passion Of Joan Of Arc yesterday for $18. Been wanting to check that one out for a while now.
