You could check http://www.criterion.com , click on Films at the top, then on the blu-ray tab, and it shows all the titles released so far, and coming soon in spine # order, as well as if they have an OOP status. As for comparisons, either this site, or DVDBeaver.com would be your best bets for that stuff.

BTW, none of those wish-list films will be coming from CC IMO. They are all already out elsewhere, and I highly doubt criterion even has those rights anymore, at least not for Blu-ray.

Of course, I did. You're getting slower in your old age, pops. I do like the way you used the term "exclusive," though, in your other post. It almost makes it sound like people who want to post in there have to go through an initiation or hazing first.

Maybe, we should start charging membership fees for posting in the Criterion thread. We could have a tiered-pricing plan that allows so many posts per month based on the dollar amount spent. And the fees have to be just as expensive as OOP Criterion discs. Something like this...

$20/month... 100 posts per month

$40/month... 200 posts + 5 links per month

$60/month... 300 posts + 10 links + 5 images per month

$100/month... all of the above, plus 200 extra posts, and the ability to ridicule and bash regular forum members. I think that would be worth the extra cost.

Decline =/= doesn't want to travel because of his age. He didn't even make it to Cannes this year.

I've seen so many people say he "refused" the award and those people are championing his move to not show up like it is some statement against the Oscars. He didn't refuse, he just doesn't want to travel anymore. If I was as old as he was I wouldn't want to travel to some ceremony that isn't even the actual Oscar ceremony to get some small statue.

The fact that they can't do these awards during the actual Oscar show is one of the biggest oddities since letting 10 Films be nominated for Best Picture (HUGE JOKE)

They feel like they have to Mtv the whole show up... Call me crazy give me the days when the show ran over an hour too long and people complained it was boring. I love the show that way. (I was never bored) Now the reason for the show FILMS and film making has fallen by the wayside.

Perhaps they underestimated the market. I was going to watch this last night, but due to a storm and other events, it didn't happen. I am planning on watching it "soon" though.

Yeah I was looking at this, though im not a member so it would be about 23, and Seven Samurai would be about 26.

I was seeing what titles were in stock at stores around me in anticipation for the sale, so I could have the stores hold them for me a couple days before the sale starts and just walk in and pick them up :] But I think I am going to order Hausu as its out of stock everywhere.


EDIT: Actually they have a free 2 month membership going on right now, so I just signed up for that. Got free shipping and I guess ill get an extra 10% off on the criterion sale right?

Just a question, have you actually tried clicking on the pick-up button? Because I was planning on doing the same thing but, every movie I've checked even though it says In-stock and available for pickup, when I actually click on it, the popup will then show the message, "We're sorry. We just confirmed with the store and this item is no longer in stock." I've tried this on all locations that says available and it says the same thing. I also tried it on non-Criterion titles and it's the same message. I'm hoping it's just a glitch in the system since their website seems to have been updated.
