Heh, really? I mean, I thought it was worth mentioning since the image lends itself well to that pun on the title, and Criterion loves them some puns on film titles, but I still didn't think that movie was well-regarded enough to warrant a Criterion release. Maybe?

Bob Gale actually told somebody that Criterion was doing I Wanna Hold Your Hand at a Con quite a while back.

Amy Heckerling was around the offices not so long ago. So either Clueless or Fast Times at Ridgemont High would be the likeliest candidates from her filmography.

I would guess Clueless. Would be a very popular release for one, but I'd imagine Fast Times will wind up in whatever hell Sixteen Candles finds itself in at present.

Clueless would be totally cool. We need that '90's goodness in the Criterion Collection. I have the original Paramount release with that sweet slipcover, but would totally double dip for a Criterion edition.
(I love Alicia Silverstone. Just sayin') |

Peter Bogdanovich in a recent interview on vulture.com
"I’m trying to get the Criterion Collection to let me put together the director’s cut of Texasville, which is better in the sense that it’s a lot sadder. Because there’s 25 minutes missing [from the release version]" |
