Taking an early lunch break today to accommodate the sale -- can't wait! Only definites are Hausu and Seven Samurai, both of which I held off on buying day-1 because of this sale, but I'm sure I'll leave with at least 3 more than those two, haha. I have zero restraint.

I assume you either used one of the links, or had a membership to get the extra 10% off

I just bought two more of the AK-100 sets...... can't pass up the price, and they're going to make great gifts. As for this thread, let's not turn it into a

As far as the films themselves, my wife wants a recommendation for a film to watch today (she's home sick) I'm thinking "Close-Up" or "Everlasting Moments" She's seen neither. Do most people feel "Everlasting Moments" is the safer pick? That's what I'm leaning towards..... of course she might watch "When Harry Met Sally" for the 400th time

Just got me Monsoon Wedding, Chungking Express, and Bottle Rocket from the sale. Purchased Darjeeling Limited from AMZ a while back.

I've always held off because of the price, but it's pretty low compared to the original prices. All the above are movies I've wanted for a while now. Can't wait to see em!

So far I haven't seen any of these films and I'm not sure whether I should order them or not.
Charade is incredible! One of my favs! House was fun...but different. In my opinion, it is a must have because there is not another film like it!

Antichrist I have not yet seen, but am anxiously awaiting the 9th!

Let us know what you decide!

I watched The 400 Blows last night. To be perfectly honest, I was impressed, but not overwhelmingly so. I did enjoy it, and thinking that it was based on the director's life was something that wasn't far from my mind throughout the viewing, but I don't know. I just didn't go ballistic for it like I thought I would.

Sourpuss was a real ass hat, though.

Don't forget folks, if you have any preorders in your order, the whole order does not ship until those are released, hence that second order. Sometimes, they are sold out of the stuff that was in-stock when you ordered it if you have to wait, so be careful.

Edit: BTW, I couldn't get any of the coupons to work, but the Library store took the 10% off fine..
Yeah, definitely, especially separate your orders that are 24 hrs and 1-2 weeks. Made sure to keep "The Thin Red Line" off my main order and used it for a second order since it had the "shipping 1-2 weeks".

Remember, there are several sequels to that film in the "Antoine Doinel" Criterion box set.

I noticed the DVD set for the 3 Silents by J.V.S. is not listed as part of the sale online. (Yet the 50% off Criterion Logo is listed by the title listing on its page. Kind of odd.

Thanks. I have yet to see a Jarmusch film, but I might start with this one. I liked the trailer. The only problem is my local B&N doesn't have it, but a store that's a little farther away does. I think it might be worth a trip to the bigger B&N in my area with a better selection.

Yeah, my 1st order with the Cassavetes set, Charade and Paths is already in the ship process, while of course the preorders are all set to ship on the 16th.

Thank you Beta Man! I look forward to the gift!

If anyone goes in-store, definitely interested in finding out if the Von Sternberg is 50% off over there. Have been reading reports and it seems some people can't find it at their store.

I'm struggling if I want to upgrade "Breathless" and "Charade" on Blu-ray, I could use that $36 and get "Close-Up" and "Magician" instead. Hmm...

Don't want this to come off as a "sweet brag," but I just got 4 single-disc sets for $13 each and SS for $17.50. Could not be happier.

Asked the manager his name and found out his schedule. Would have picked up more if I had had any more coupons already printed.
